16 March 2016, Hong Kong – Mr. Song Hoi-see, Founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Group, the pioneer and industry leader in providing Premium Airport Services, is invited as guest speaker to the Passenger Terminal Conference 2016 in Cologne, Germany today to talk about the role of third-party airport lounge in the process of enhancing the airport experience of passengers around the world.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Song used Plaza Premium Lounge, the world largest independent airport lounge under the Group’s management, as an example and shared with his audience on various risks and strengths of third-party airport lounge operators and the associated opportunities and limitations for airports and airlines, such as customer satisfaction, resource allocation and cost control in acquiring market share through service differentiation. During the conference, he also underscored the important role of third-party airport lounge operators in filling up the inefficiency gap, optimizing limited resources in the airport, and enhancing the airport experience of passengers.
“In recent years, Plaza Premium Lounge has become an iconic brand among discerning passengers who look for premium airport lounge services. Many leading airports and airlines have also noticed such trend, and invited us to upgrade their service for a customer-centric lounge experience amid growing competition.” Mr. Song further revealed. “Although third-party airport lounge is still a relatively new business concept in some countries, many industry players have begun to realize its value. I am confident that with more people experiencing our excellent services, innovative provisions, best-in-class facilities and the superiority of our global network, the quality of a third-party airport lounge will soon become a global industry standard in determining the essential components of airports and airlines.”
Currently, the network of Plaza Premium Lounge covers over 130 locations across major international airports and serves more than 8 million passengers annually. Global expansion of Plaza Premium Lounge will cover Taipei, Siam Reap, Brisbane and Rio de Janeiro by the end of 2016 as well as London Heathrow T5 in the pipeline, riding on the success of Plaza Premium Lounges opened in Shanghai Pudong (November 2015), Cebu (December 2015) and Phnom Penh (January 2016).
